Our Story

The ND Miata is a car built around simplicity. Lightweight, fun, and focused on the driving experience.

But after spending time with the car, one thing became obvious: the interior has its drawbacks. Storage is limited, larger drinks don't fit well, and the factory cup holders feel more like an afterthought than a solution.

That is where this product started.

Our Goal

The goal was never to create another accessory just to add something new to the market. It was to solve a problem that many ND Miata owners experience every day.

The factory cup holders are small, fragile, and not designed around the way people actually use their cars today. Modern bottles, larger tumblers, phones, and everyday essentials all compete for limited space.

The idea was simple: create something stronger, more functional, and better suited for the way Miata owners actually drive.

Built Through Trial and Error

The final design didn't happen on the first try.

This cup holder went through countless adjustments, more than 20 hours of design work, 40+ hours of printing and testing, and 13 prototypes before reaching the version available today.

Each prototype helped us improve something:

  • Better fitment

  • Increased strength

  • More usable storage

  • Better compatibility with modern drink sizes

  • A design that feels natural inside the ND Miata

The result is a product built around real-world use, not just a quick solution.

Why did we choose 3D Printing?

Traditional manufacturing can make it difficult to create products for smaller enthusiast communities. 3D printing allows designs like this to be tested, improved, and refined much faster.

It gives us the ability to create purpose-built accessories for specific vehicles while continuing to improve the designs based on real feedback and everyday use.

Whats Next?

This cup holder is just the beginning.

The goal is to continue creating accessories that make the ownership experience better—products that solve small frustrations, add functionality, and feel like they should have been included from the factory.

Built for people who enjoy their cars, by someone who understands why they bought one in the first place.
